Mo Willems ruled our list this year. Pigeons, Piggie, Elephant, Dinosaurs? All winners. Not only hilarious for all ages, but his books are great books to read out loud.

Worship
My word for the new year is Worship. Worship defined is to show reverence and adoration for God. As is love, worship is a choice. It is my reaction to the activities of the providential hand of God. God showed us the ultimate form of love embodied in Christ. He has blessed me beyond belief, let alone what I deserve. He deserves my praise. My goal this year is to focus on worshiping Him.

"Give unto the Lord the glory due unto his name; worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness."
-- Psalm 29:2
"Exalt ye the Lord our God, and worship at his footstool; for he is holy."
-- Psalm 99:5
"God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth."
-- John 4:24
"Worship is the total alignment of our heart, soul, mind and strength with the will of God. It is our whole-hearted response to God’s extravagant love and mercy."
-- Worship Central
"Worship is the believer’s response of all that they are – mind, emotions, will, body – to what God is and says and does."
-- Warren Wiersbe
"Worship of the living and true God is essentially an engagement with him on the terms that he proposes and in the way that he alone makes possible."
-- David Peterson
"Worship is the submission of all our nature to God. It is the quickening of conscience by His holiness; the nourishment of mind with His truth; the purifying of imagination by His Beauty; the opening of the heart to His love; the surrender of will to His purpose – and all of this gathered up in adoration, the most selfless emotion of which our nature is capable and therefore the chief remedy for that self-centeredness which is our original sin and the source of all actual sin."
-- William Temple
